Thank you for the memories, Dimi!
Why have we not got an icon for him? He is our biggest icon for at least the last 10 years!

Thought I would make a thread on Dimi for the people to actually talk about him and the good times. I understand peoples frustrations with everything that is going on right now, but he has produced some unforgettable moments in the short time he has been here, the free kick against De Gea, one against Palace, the solo goals against Blackburn and Boro, the Rabana! That Everton come back from 2-0 down and a penalty!

I for one am gutted and will hugely miss him.

Thanks for the memories, Dimi.

Plenty of humble pie needed from him before a 2nd chance can even be contemplated.

You idiot. Think about what Payet has done - thrown our season into chaos which now means relegation looms larger.

The greedy selfish cunt should have his legs snapped.

93, some advice for you, just post "I'm a cunt for starting this thread, apologies, won't happen again", and you'll maybe get out of this.

At the moment, you're 2nd in the list of the worst flannels this site has ever seen, coming in just behind HairyHammer.

you'll need a bigger shovel soon for that hole you're digging. there's no defending a cunt who's not been bothered since the euros. it's got fuck all to do with him who we sign, he's paid to play. that's it

I know the board are shit and lied about certain things but they've been more than fair to the bottle job cunt during the last year

Re: Thank you for the memories, Dimi!
On reflection, I completely hold my hands up and say this thread was extremely poorly timed.

Having said that, I am a loyal fan of this club who has put in thousands over the years on season tickets away days etc. just like we all have, so I don't go along with the fact I don't love the club, because trust me, after everything you sacrifice and put in over the years that couldn't be further from the truth.

With all the negativity surrounding him yesterday it just made me have some perspective on the whole situation.

I for one minute am not defending how he has reacted. He is a professional who gets paid very hansomely to do a job which is play football for West Ham United. Unfortunately for us his decision is going to temporarily leave us in the shit.

However, I don't think all the blame can be put on him, many of us this season have continously complained about Bilic, the Owners, the new signings and that has all contributed towards this happening, whatever way you look at it.

Like I said I am not defending Payet in the slightest for how he has reacted, just that it has been a build up of everything that has led to this ridiculous decision from him.

Let's take it back 8 months..

- We just had a fantastic season, closed out the Boleyn in a thriller which Payet contributed 2 assists dragging us back from 2-1 down
- We are now in Europa
- Moving into one of the largest stadiums in the prem which the owners are continously saying will improve us and make us be able to compete by bringing in top signings who will want to play here
- Payet proves on the big stage in the Euros he is one of the best players around on current form (arguably player of the tournament). Potentially making other top players want to play alongside him
- Rumours of Lacazette, Bacca, signing a right back etc.

Our biggest chance in years to really push on and progress as a club in a 60,000 seater stadium and build a team around our best player.

Then, in the space of say around a month we,

- Sign awful players on the cheap/loan including Zaza, Tore, Feghouli, Calleri, Nordveit
- We get knocked out of Europe before we qualify.. Again.
- We panic buy a midfielder from Swansea for 20 million pounds to play as a striker, which he on record said he couldn't play. I am sure this was done as a point to fans that we can spend, but then they get that wrong as it was spent on the wrong type of player we needed.
- Still haven't sighed a right back.

If the rumours are true then they made promises to Payet that if he stayed we would improve the squad and the owners have not done this.

Bilic also made some very odd subs/tactics throughout this season which we have all had discussions about.

The reason for the praise was just because he was a massive reason to our success last season, and personally I had some fantastic memories last season watching him, more so than many years before that. He lit up the pitch and as a West Ham fan we all know that kind of player is few and far between at our place.

My final summarising point is I am just a big a fan of this club as anyone else and I recognise this was bad taste/timing, I just feel he isn't fully to blame. For his decision, yes he is, but this could of all been so much different had we invested when we had the chance.

Having said all that, let's hope the players that are committed can bring home the 3 points tomorrow and the fans can get behind the team.

COYI.

Re: Thank you for the memories, Dimi!
Very skilful player but lacks commitment and backbone to be a top class player.

Can't doubt some of the goals he scored were superb, but they were not frequent enough, and he became a luxury player.

This season, for whatever reason it matters not, he's been poor most of the time, and we should have foreseen this happening and touted him out this window without the bullshit thats happening which will undervalue him.

Song was a far better 'day in/day out' player than Payett, likewise Kayoute, Antonio, Ried & Noble.

Obiang - not sure yet, tries hard but maybe not good enough to challenge at this level consistently.

The other players that I have concerns about are Lanzini and Cresswell who have both drifted away from their best form recently.

I hope the Payett problem has spread through the team - because when he fucks off we will pull together as a team.

We don't need one trick ponies like Payett if they are not prepared to fight for the club, we want team players who know how to behave like one.

So, Payett - fuck off - you're a French 2 bob mug with not spine like the fucking rest of them.

Doesn't fix the shambles of a ground though..

Anyway - COYFI's
